Gmail Hacked: Gmail has become a necessity for almost every Android user today. A Gmail account is required to access the Google Play Store, Drive, or YouTube on your phone. However, sometimes we inadvertently leave our account logged in on another device, and this carelessness can pose a significant threat. If this happens, anyone can access your email, personal data, and even banking information. If you want to know which devices your Gmail account is logged in on, you can quickly verify it using the simple steps below.
How to see where your Gmail is logged in- First of all open myaccount.google.com in the browser of your phone or computer .
- Now go to the Security section and scroll down.
- Here you will get the option of Your Devices where click on Manage All Devices.
- On this page, you will see all the devices connected to your Gmail account like mobile, tablet or laptop.
- If you see an unknown or suspicious device in the list, click on it and select Sign Out.
- Don't forget to change your Gmail password immediately after this.
- For this, open Gmail on your computer.
- At the bottom right of the inbox, you will find a link named “Details”. Click on it.
- Now a new window will open, where you will see details like IP address, device type and login time.
- If you see any unknown IP address or suspicious login here, immediately change your password and secure your account.
Many times we use Gmail through Sign in with Google in some app or website. This links our account to those sites. In such a situation, it is important to check whether any unknown website is misusing your account. For this, open myaccount.google.com again and go to the Security section. Now go to Signing in to other sites and click on Signing in with Google. Here you will get a list of all the websites and apps in which you have logged in with your Gmail. If you find any suspicious website or app, then immediately remove its access by clicking on Remove Access.
Tips to stay safe- Always keep 2-Step Verification on and change the password from time to time.
- By doing this, even if someone knows your password, he will not be able to login to your account.
- Your Gmail account is the key to your digital identity, so keeping it secure is your biggest responsibility.
