A British tourist has been rushed to hospital after three young holidaymakers were ploughed into by a car outside a popular resort in Ibiza.
The three victims, all believed to be young women, were struck by a jeep on Calle Moli, in front of the On the Bay restaurant at the Playa des Pouet resort in Ibiza, Spain. Shocked eyewitnesses said the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon left the road and careered onto the pavement, running over the three young women and knocking down a lamppost.
It came to a standstill on the pavement and just a few feet from a pedestrian crossing. Crowds of people descended on the scene before emergency services arrived, with lifeguards at Playa des Pouet attending the incident first.

Shortly after, several local police patrols and three ambulances from the 061 Emergency Service arrived, treating the women before transporting them to a medical centre.
The Sun reports that one of the three women was a Brit tourists, but she is yet to be identified, with the identities of the others also under-wraps. According to eyewitnesses, two of the girls appeared to be in serious condition, while a third had foot injuries. At this time, neither 061 nor the Sant Antoni Police have provided further information so it is not known if the women are British or their ages.
The driver is a young man, around 30 years old, according to these same witnesses. Officers have closed traffic on the street and are interviewing numerous witnesses to clarify the details of the accident.
The accident has raised concerns in the area, which at the time was full of people enjoying the beach or having a drink in nearby establishments. The shock crash comes as Brit mums Ebony Cordingley, 26, and Lauren Holmes, 27, are set to remain in Ibiza "for weeks" after they were knocked down by a taxi while on their Ibiza holiday.
The two were rushed to different intensive care units after they were hit on August 26 while travelling on a road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
The two friends, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, were hit by what their families have described as a "speeding taxi" in GoFundMe appeal.
Police have only described the car so far as a Toyota Corolla and have not said whether they arrested the young Spanish driver. A spokesman for the Civil Guard said at the time of the accident: "Both are British and both are serious. They were pedestrians who were run over by a 24-year Spaniard at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla.
"One is 26 and the other is 27. The incident happened at 1.50am on the El-600 road between Ibiza and San Antonio in the municipality of San Antonio."
