The youth who overthrew Oli's leftist government met the Army Chief and suggested the name of a woman for the interim Prime Minister, who has a very deep relationship with India.
Nepal is currently under the control of the army. But let us tell you that there cannot be army rule in Nepal. There is no such provision in the constitution of Nepal. Meanwhile, interesting news came from Nepal when thousands of Nepali youths roaming on the streets said that they also want a Prime Minister like Modi in their country. The kind of development PM Modi is doing in India, Nepal also needs the same kind of development. By the way, Pakistanis also often say such things.
By the way, let us tell you that the youth who overthrew Oli's leftist government have met the Army Chief and suggested the name of a woman for the interim Prime Minister, who has a very deep relationship with India. The youth of Nepal want to make her their interim Prime Minister. As soon as the youth of Nepal finalized the name of Sushila Karki, soon after that Sushila Karki made a big announcement about India and PM Modi. Karki has often spoken warmly about India and its relations with Nepal, and she reiterated the same thing in her recent comments. Speaking in a news interview, she wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed her admiration. She said that I have a good opinion about Modi ji. Today we have not been in contact with India for many days.
Sushila Karki's connection with India dates back to her youth. Long before she became Nepal's first female chief justice, Karki spent some of the most important years of her life studying across the border. "I am a citizen of Biratnagar near the Indian border. (India) is probably only 25 miles from my home," she said, adding that she regularly visited the market on the border. She graduated from Mahendra Morang College in Biratnagar before moving to India, where she earned a master's degree in political science from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU). In an interview with CNN, she said, "I still remember my teachers and friends. I still remember the Ganges river. There was a hostel on the banks of the Ganges. And in summer nights, we used to sleep on the roof."
Karki further said that she has always been "very impressed" by Indian leaders and considers them more like family than neighbours. "We consider them our brothers and sisters," she said. When asked about her expectations from India, she spoke openly. Pointing to the occasional bitterness between the two countries, she said India has always helped Nepal. We are very close... (but) there is a saying that when utensils are kept together in a Kitchen, they do make noise.
