
A desperate search is underway after a teenager was knifed on a bustling seafront in broad daylight.
Sussex Police were alerted to the incident on Marine Parade in Worthing at approximately 1:17pm today, following reports of three youths, one brandishing a knife, chasing another youngster.
An 18 year old lad received immediate care from passersby before being whisked off to hospital with a hand injury. The news comes as this Syrian asylum seeker jailed for 9 years after knife attacks.
The trio of suspects, all described as white and clad in black hoodies, made their escape westwards along Marine Parade.
Police officers descended on the scene swiftly, and residents have been advised to anticipate an elevated police presence in the vicinity this evening, reports the Daily Star.
Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
Neil Walker, from Worthing CID, appealed for information, stating:.
"We're in the very early stages of our investigation and are urging anyone with any information to please come forward.", according to the Mirror.
